This guide will help you install SM Product Gallerry - Version 2.0.1 step by step.

At the basic level, this module will require the following conditions:

  • Support Magento 1.7.x; 1.8.x and 1.9.x

2.1 Extension Installation

There are two ways to install extension:

  • Step 1: Download and unzip extension contents on your computer and navigate inside the extracted folder.
  • Step 2: Upload folders skin and app from our download package to your Web server’s document root (from here on, referenced as {docroot}). You should see a directory layout like this:

    {docroot} /magento/

    app/
    index.php
    js/
    lib/
    LICENSE.txt
    media/
    pear/
    skin/
    var/
    • Step 3: Login your Magento Admin
    • Step 4: Navigate to System => Configuration => find SM Product Gallerry module (in the left of column) to configure module

      • Step 5: You will see installed extension, click extension’s name tab to go to extension configuration page.

OR you also install the steps as following:

Step 1: In the Administrator page, Navigate to System >> Magento Connect >> Magento Connect Management

Step 2: Click Browse and Upload package file

Important Note:

  • After installing extension, you should logout first and then login Admin Panel to ensure all functions work normally.
  • You should disable all caches in cache management in the installation and configuration process.

2.2 Page Configuration

  • If you want to display this module on any page that you want, Please go to CMS > Page > Edit SM Product Gallerry > Tab Content and add this code:

Note:We used the images of module’s installtion on Magento 1.9.x to illustrate

After installing, go to System -> Configuration and find SM Product Gallerry (in the left of column) to configure.
The parameters are divided into the following groups:

    • General settings
    • Config number cols and rows for decives
    • Source Options
    • Product Options
    • Image Options
    • Effect Options
    • Advanced Options

Let’s look at the parameters in detail:

General settings

  • Enabled Extension - Allow to enable/disable the module.
  • Display Title - Allow to display title of module or Not.
  • Title - You can enter title of module here.
  • Link target - Target to open links:
    • New window - Open the link in the new window/tab.
    • Same window - Open the link in the same window/tab.
    • Popup window - Open links in new pop-up window.

Config number cols and rows for decives

  • # Column - Set # column for devices:
    • For devices have screen width from 1200px up to greater.
    • For devices have screen width from 992px up to 1199px.
    • For devices have screen width from 768px up to 991px.
    • For devices have screen width less than or equal 767px.

Source Options

  • Select Category - Allow you to select Category. The SM Amazing Slideshow is added for showing product
  • Child Category Products: Include or Exclude Products from Child Categories.
  • Category Depth: Allow to select the number of child category levels to return.
  • Featured Products: Allow to Show/Hide/Only Featured Products.
  • Product Field to Order By: Set Product Field to Order By.
  • Ordering Direction: Allow to order ascending/descending direction.
  • Product Limitation: Allow to set product limitation.

Product Options

  • Products Title
    • Display Title - Allow you display title of Product or NOT.
    • Max Length - Allow to set the max length of title.
  • Products Description
    • Display Description - Allow you display Description of Product or NOT.
    • Display Title - Allow you display all tabs or NOT.
  • Others
    • Display Price - Allow to show price or Not.
    • Display Reviews Summary - Allow to display Reviews Summary or Not.
    • Display Add To Cart - Allow to show/hide add to cart button.
    • Display Add Wishlist - Allow to show add to wishlist or not.
    • Display Add Compare - Allow to show add to compare or not.
    • Display Readmore - Allow to show/hide Readmore button.
    • Readmore Text - Allow to input name of Readmore text. For example: Details.
Image Options
  • Display Image Thumbs 
    • Display Image Thumbs - Allow to display Image Thumbs or NOT.
    • Product Image - Allow to display image of Product or NOT.
    • Product Description - Allow to display description of Product or NOT.
    • Order to Get - Allow to order to get image with options such as “product_image, product_description”.
    • Resize - Allow you resize product image or NOT.
    • Constrain Only - If the “constrainOnly” parameter is set to true, in this case the images which are smaller than specified value will be not enlarged by Magento. Only border of such images will increase.
    • Keep Aspect Ratio: Allow to keep aspect ratio. If the “keepAspectRatio” parameter is set to true, in this case the proportions of the image will not be modified.
    • Keep Frame: The “keepFrame” parameter guarantees that the image will be not cropped. When “keepAspectRatio” is false the “keepFrame” will not work.
    • Keep Transparency: he “keepTransparency” parameter keep the transparent background of the images.
    • Background Color: Allow to set background color.
    • Image Replacement: Only when the product has no image, the module will take photos from placeholder to replace.
  • Set width/height resize for image thumbs 
    • Image Width Thumbs - Allow to set image width of Thumbs.
    • Image Height Thumbs - Allow to set image height of Thumbs.
  • Set width/height resize for image background 
    • Image Width - Allow to set image width.
    • Image Height - Allow to set image height.

Effect Options

  • Auto Play - Allow to Enable/Disable autoplay mode.
  • Display Play/Pause Controls - Allow to display Play/Pause Controls button.
  • Display Navigation Controls - Allow to display Navigation Controls button or Not.
  • Display Show/Hide Captions - Allow to Display Show/Hide Captions button or Not.
  • Display Captions - Allow to display Captions or Not.
  • Display Top Pager - Allow to display number pager show on top pager.
  • Display Bottom Pager - Allow to display number pager show on bottom pager.
  • Max Pager Display - Allow to enter the number of Max page display show on pager.
  • Number Thumbs - Allow to enter the number of thumbs display.
  • Delay - Allow to enter the time to autoplay the next image.
  • Transition Duration - Allow to enter the time that a transition effect of image takes to complete.
  • Play Link Text - Allow to enter the text/symbol/.. you want to play the Producs.
  • Pause Link Text - Allow to enter the text/symbol/.. you want to pause the products.
  • Prev Link Text - Allow to enter the text/symbol/.. you want to display “Prev” button.
  • Next Link Text - Allow to enter the text/symbol/.. you want to display “Next” button.
  • Prev Page Link Text - Allow to enter the text/symbol/.. you want to display “Prev Page” button.
  • Next Page Link Text - Allow to enter the text/symbol/.. you want to disable “Next Page” button.

Advanced Options

  • Include jQuery - Use jQuery from this module or not.
  • Caching - Select whether to cache the content of this module .
